At about this time I figured I’ve smoked about a carton of cigarettes….don’t ask about the alocohol intake, yesterday did some wine tasting, local stuff from Texas. We didn’t know that Texas is the #2 destination for wine vacations or whatever, but I did have a few that I enjoyed. Ghost Rider White Merlot was by far my favorite…it still doesn’t beat beer, but I do have pedestrian taste (Ramen noodles are a must for any pantry). My partner in crime was trying to interest me in having a shot of Tequila, I’ve never had it and haven’t had a shot of anything since an unfortunate sambuca incident in college. Infact I have a violent reaction to black jelly beans. I declined the Tequila offer.
We went to the Alamo yesterday with about 200million other people, it’s pretty interesting, then took a tour of the local area, learned some more history. I’m embarrassed at the lack of knowledge I have about US history, I just never found it as interesting as European history…well this must be corrected, after I pay that huge fine at the library and IF they let me take books out without leaving a credit card number I will begin to learn more about our fabulous country and all it’s splendor…..
As far as other amazing sights that we’ve seen here in Texas I give you…the pannus
