Yesterday the owner of the company asked, for the fourth time in the three years (come august) that Ive been there if I would manage the department I’m in…know what I said?….
Actually, this time I said I would give it the old college try, the owner is having some personal issues and is a bit more then his usual frazzled…but the problem is, he doesn’t want me to do it as a department manager, he wants me to do it real quiet like…you see theres a guy whos been there for 15 years that has turned into more of a liability then an asset, being drunk at work, sipping nips in the mens room, going to lunch and never coming back..you know some major employee issues…and he thinks hes in charge. So the owner has asked me to stick a shive in the ribcage of the drunk guy and toss him over the side…”Why not just push him in traffic after lunch” I asked..”Please bolognaball, not now” he pleaded…alright I can fake seriousness….NEWS ALERT…I am a supersnatch when it comes to getting stuff done my way…finally RELEASED FROM MY PEN…right…
